Movie Poster Interpretation

TITANIC



The cover box for Titanic direct meanings to the audience, which is clearly presented through the various images on the cover. The cover is composed of images that tell the audience right away what they expect from the movie. Initially catching the audience's eyes is Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet pictured at the top of the poster. DiCaprio's arm is around Kate Winslet , suggesting that the movie is about these two being lovers. Kate Winslet is wearing a diamond earrings, which shows that character is from a rich family background. 

The large image of the bow of a large ship tells the audience the setting of the movie is placed on a ship. The ship is obviously the famous Titanic as suggested by the bold title across it. The ship symbolise their love which is strong, immense and continually forging onward. That is reveals that this is a story of two young lovers probably on a ship.

This two actors' eyes are lowered, giving the impression that they are deep in thought as if they are trying to figure things out. The way the word Titanic is presented also signifies their love. The implicit messages behind the contrast is to signify how the ship is the key to fully understanding the story of these two lovers.

Beside that, look closely, that the characters are shown using very soft and faded colours giving a wispy feel and the ship is very sharp with the colours bold.

Draw a circle and using BodoniFLF Bold font.


Choose a colour texture and clipping mask in the circle.



Drawing using pen tool and brushes by Wacom.





Compare with two different texture.



Add a triangle shape make it look more graphically.



Almost done.

Experiment different shape, colour texture and graphic.

Interpretation

The reason why I use "E" is represent my name, it is BodoniFLF Bold font look more stand up, stable and confident. Use the circle and colourful colour in texture as background is want to bring out my passion for art in circle of life. Beside that, the graphic I used is because I like nature and triangle shape bring out the feel of graphic represent I m a Graphic Designer. I believe creative is unlimited so I used my own way to design my own art direction.

Interpretation Logo

Twitter started by a small company in 2006, with over 500 million users worldwide. Twitter is an online social networking and microblogging service that enables users to send and read short 140 character text messages, called " tweets ". Twitter is based in San Francisco and has office in New York City, Boston, San Antonio and Detroit.




The first logo of Twitter in 2006

The original logo was in use from its launch in March 2006 until September 2010. It was incredibly simple, all it consisted of was a blue sign spelling out the company name on a white background. This simple logo was meant to convey the simplicity of the company itself. That people could do write 140 short message or text, despite its simple nature, the action of "tweeting" took off.




The second logo was launched in 2010.

In 2010, they wanted something that perfectly symbolised the tweets that were the cornerstone of the business so they invented the twitter "Bird". The twitter bird summed up the objectives of the company perfectly. The bird brings out the meaning not only did "tweets" sound like something a bird would do, but it is quick and speedy look. It symbolised the quick and simple messages that the service offered. Used blue as the colour too.




New Logo from 2012 till now

The very simple change merely deleted the word "twitter" and left a much larger Twitter Bird. The reason of changing this logo is probably quite simple. They wan people just by seeing the bird, would instantly know what is symbolised. According to Douglas Bowman, a designer of twitter, the new logo resembles a Mountain Bluebird. 
 -A simplified and more playful version of the old bird with a different haircut and upturned beak, it is based heavily on perfect circles. 
-The Twitter bird symbolises freedom, happiness and hope. The company decided to focus exclusively on the bird. They made the bird much larger so it could attract more attention. 
-It also changed the colour of the bird to a darker blue signifies communication, reliability, commitment in service and to make it more pleasing to a wider audience. 
- The white colour stands for purity and emotion.
