Proposal


Title: Moment Smart watch --World's first wrap    around Smartwatch by Momentum Labs LLC 


Aim 
The aim of this project is to make known of the product and to increase its sales at the end of this campaign. 


Objective 
1.   To promote brand awareness of the product  by collaborate with well-known company/brand. 
2.   To persuade the public about the product how it can influence and enhance the quality of living lifestyle.
3.  To emphasise the product's features using persuasive advertising strategy in bringing up its specialties to the public. 

Project Duration 
This project takes about one year to reach the objectives. 


Target audience  
The range of targeted audience for this project is young adults aged between 18 to 35 years old. They have greatly economics ability to purchase this product. The Moment Smartwatch keep ups with the fashion/trend lifestyle today. It combine HI-TECH features with the up-trend fashion outfit become a watch. This attract many young adult today as trend lifestyle is always about looking out of world and technology. 


Product background 
Moment Smartwatch is the first product that comes as a watch or accessories, In addition,  the device is designed with high technology. The moment Smartwatch combines two fashion and technology making it the most trendy gadget come accessories of all. The concept of this Smartwatch comes in April 2013 by two friends discussed on the chances of a smart watch that will appeal to a wide group of people. They agreed with the idea and formed  a design team to develop this project. In the few months time, Momentum Labs has been trying  their best in maintaining, experiencing, and solving the problem faced up until today. Momentum Lab says that, " Finally we have a prototype that we are proud of and which meets all of our requirements without compromise. We are happy to be on Kickstarter now and look forward to producing the Moment Smartwatch for our Kickstarter backers." (Kick starter, April 2014) 


Market Issue 

Samsung Galaxy Gear 
  • Battery Life 
The battery lifespan of the Smartwatch is poor. It can be used up to a  maximum of 25 hours only. This  is inconvenient because common people use it as replacement of  their devices. 

  • Notification and functionalities 
Samsung Galaxy Gear has a problem that consumer can only check notification from devices but it is not able to setup and customise their devices according to desired preferences. 

  • Camera 
There is a big difference about camera between Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch and Samsung Note 3. The Smartwatch is 1.9 megapixel with BSI sensor and auto focus while Samsung Note 3 is 13 megapixel. So, the picture captured by the smart watch is not in high quality.   

  • Specific Devices 
The biggest problem for Samsung Galaxy Gear is consumer can only connect to specifidevices (Samsung Note 3 in 2013 and latest Samsung Smartphone updated in 2014)Consumers who use Samsung Note 3 and latest Samsung Smartphone will get the chance to experiment with Samsung Galaxy Gear. 


Pebble Steel 
  • Features 
This Smartwatch lacks of features compared to Samsung Galaxy Gear and Moment Smartwatch. Pebble Steel should improve its functionalities with  more exclusive features in order to keep up with the future technology lifestyle and trend to withstand its market value.  



Product Issue 

Momentum Smartwatch
  • Light Weight 
The weight and size of this smartwatch is slightly heavier and bigger than others smartwatch in market. Therefore, consumers will feel uncomfortable while wearing the smart watch in the whole day. 

  • No Camera Build in 
Momentum Smartwatch has the same problem with Pebble Steel smartwatch that is, it does not have build-in camera. It cannot take picture and view image on the smartwatch as well. 



Proposal Solution
As a watch and accessory, it requires long period of wearing on the wrist.Therefore the weight must be light to make sure consumers can  wear it comfortably   
There are many ways to promote product in the market nowadays. The advertising strategy for this product is promoting the product in a trendy outfit with its high-technology features in collaboration with well-known company/brand. This may results in a fashion festivals, roadshows, etc.  

  • Suggested Strategy 
  1. Internet Strategy - Use a low-cost media strategy to promote the product to potential consumers widely. Invite consumer by email to give out information about the product, launching date, event and place. Invite them and attach invitation cards or coupons to attract them. 

  1. Mass Media Strategy - Outdoor/Indoor print advertising, teaser advertising, magazine, website, social media such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram,
