Google glass is a wearable computer with a head-mounted display that is being developed by GOOGLE in Project Glass research and development project. This is being developed by Google X Lab and the project was announced on Google+ by project glass lead Babak Parviz , Steve Lee and Sebastian Thrun. Google Glass information in a smartphone like hands free format, that can interact with the internet via voice commands. Google is considering partnering with sunglass retailers such as Ray-Ban or Warby Parker and also may open retail stores.
The first glass demo was in August 2011. According to the employees the glass was originally predicted to be available to the public by end of 2012. In April 2012, the product began testing.

I believe Google Glass will keep updated to become a Future of Glass and replace smartphone.
